Program Design Completed

The program design is 'hot off the press.' Well, not exactly. It is not off Abobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The program features the patriotic logo and includes the complete lyrics for Democrats Forever.  There is also a list of all the songs in 2020: The Musical along with the topics each one covers. Below is the cover of the program followed by the inside.

"Back of the Room" Sales

Every show needs "Back of the Room" sales. That's why I have ordered CDs.  Once things are up and running I plan to have t-shirts printed, too.

I know that many people now prefer to download music. I have download cards that can be purchased at performances.  They will be discounted from the price at CD Baby as an incentive to buy at performances. Now people will be able to choose.

Here's a jpg for the jacket layout.

Running for Mayor

This evening I had the pleasure of addressing the Democratic Club of Berkley.  It was my first presentation and there were some technical difficulties but everyone was very understanding.

Robert Lathrop, who is running for Mayor of Berkley, took this selfie of us.

Uncle Sam Sings for Socialism - NOT

I was interviewed by Kaitlin Bennett from conservative/libertarian blog, Liberty Hangout. The interviewee tried to direct me into making statements I do not believe...but I did not fall into the trap. The video, which was posted on youtube, is titled, "Uncle Sam Sings for Socialism." Nothing could be further from the truth. However, I do believe everyone in the United States of America is entitled to healthcare.

You can see the interview at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mf9aSrqvRxA
It has received over to 147,000 views!

Protesting ICE

I was one of more than 150 demonstrators who assembled outside the Dearborn, Michigan Police Department calling for an end to that department's agreement to hold ICE detainees. The demonstration was part of a national #CloseTheCamps campaign, which protests immigration policies of the current administration.

We have a responsibility to stand up against hate. This was echoed by U.S. Representatives Debbie Dingell, Andy Levin and Rashida Talib who also attended the event.

The gathering was hosted by Detroit Jews for Justice, Council on American-Islamic Relations of Michigan, and Bend The Arc: Ann Arbor.

UPDATE: The City of Dearborn has terminated their agreement with ICE. I'd like to believe this happened in response to the demonstration.
